Please help me solve this equation: There is a square and its area is 252. The square has 9 circles in it and you need to find the area of the circles added together. Could u show me how to do the problem please A.S.A.P. Thank you
--------------------
Each side of the square is sqrt252 = 15.8745...
---------------------
Assuming the 9 circles are tightly packed in the square, the
diameter of each circle is (1/3)sqrt252
then each circle has radius = (1/2)[(1/3)sqrt252] = [sqrt(252)]/6
Then the area of each circle is pi(radius)^2 = (252/36)pi = 7pi
Then the area of all nine circles is 9*7pi = 63pi
