Question 1055753: What is the equation for a circle with a radius of 5 and goes through (5,0)
Answer by josgarithmetic(39628) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Easiest to just use standard form equation (x-h)^2+(y-k)^2=5^2, and you know that one point (x,y) is (5,0).
, and this is all you can do, because this is one equation with still two unknown variables. There are infinite number of circles that will work. Pick a convenient value for k. OR, pick a convenient value for h.
