If a wedge is cut from the cylinder by two planes, one perpendicular to the axis of the cylinder and the other passing through a diameter of the section made by the first plane and inclined to this plane at an angle of 45°. Find the volume of the wedge.

For this special case, use the formula for the volume of cylindrical wedge

Vol. of Cylindrical Wedge = (2/3) (r^3)(tan(angle))
= (2/3) (3^3)(tan(45))
=18 m^3
