What grade do I have to get in order to keep at least an 83 average in the class.
:
let x = the grade required to have an 83 average
final is 20% which is 1/5 of your grade, that means 4/5 is class average

multiply both sides by 5, do the math
340 + x = 415
x = 415 - 340
x = 75% will give you and 83
