Question 954868: Paul and his friends average their test grades and find that the average is 95. The teacher announces that the average grade of all her classes is 83. Why are the averages so different?

Other people in different classes may have gotten grades that are much worse than Paul and his friends. Thus the average is different when the teacher takes the grades from all of her classes.
