Question 954138: Please help me with this equation kirk has taken 3 tests his scores out of 100 are as follows 80 90 84 kirk wants to know what score he has to make on his fourth test to make an overall mean score of 90 the teacher tells him he needs to score x what is x

Answer by macston(5194)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
To have a mean score of 90 on four tests, the sum of the tests must be 4(90)=360.
The sum of the first three is 254, so Kirk must score 360-254=106.
ANSWER: Kirk must score 106 on the final test to have a mean of 90.
