Question 94512: I am loosing it over this one
Solve the following system of linear inequalities by graphing.
x – y < 3
x + 2y < 6

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve the following system of linear inequalities by graphing.
x – y < 3
x + 2y < 6
--------------
Graph the boundary lines as dashed lines.
y = x-3
y = -(1/2)x+3
----------------

------------------
Pick a test point that is not on either line, like (0,0)
Check it isn the two INEQUALITIES to see if the region containing
(0,0) is in or out of the solution region:
0 - 0 <3 ; true
0 +2*0 <6; true
----------------
Darken the area containing the test point above y>x-3 and below y<-(1/2)x+3
That is the solution of the system
