Question 885357: inverse of f(x)=(2x+5)/(x-3)
Answer by rothauserc(4718) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
inverse of f(x)=(2x+5)/(x-3), let
y = (2x+5) / (x-3)
now solve for x
y(x-3) = 2x +5
yx -3y = 2x + 5
yx -2x = 3y +5
x(y-2) = (3y+5)
x = (3y+5) / (y-2)
now interchange the x's and y's
y = (3x+5) / (x-2), therefore
inverse of f(x) is (3x+5) / (x-2)
