"The mean of a list of six numbers is 74. If I add 2 numbers to the list of the mean the list becomes 76. What is the mean of the two numbers that I add to the list?"

|Note: 6*74 is the total of the 1st 6 numbers and 2m the total for the 2 new numbers with a mean of m.


2m = 8*76 - 6*74
2m = 608-444
2m = 164
m = 82
