Question 817888: [ If I have a 76.8 average and my final is worth 25%, how much do I need to get in order to keep at least a 75% average. How do you do the math for this type of problem? ]
Answer by TimothyLamb(4379) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(76.8)(1 - 0.25) + f(0.25) = 75
(76.8)(0.75) + f(0.25) = 75
57.6 + f(0.25) = 75
f(0.25) = 75 - 57.6
f(0.25) = 17.4
f = 17.4/(0.25)
---
f = 69.6%
