Answer by Cromlix(4381)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Add 3 to a number then multiply by 2 = 20
(3 + x) x 2 = 20
6 + 2x = 20
2x = 20 - 6
2x = 14
x = 7
Number was 7
(7 x 2)+ 3 = 17.#
Hope this helps.
