Question 756529: The average of four consecutive even numbers A, B, C and D is 37. What is the product of A and C?
Answer by nihar*2013(34)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Suppose 1st consecutive number is x
Then second is x+2
third x+2+2 = x+4
Fourth is x+2+2+2=x+6
Their average is 37
average = total of all four numbers/ N
37 = x+x+2+x+4+x+6/4
37*4= 4x+12
148=4x+12
148-12=4x
136 = 4x
136/4 = x
34= x
First number A = 34
Third Number C= 38
Their product = 34*38
= 1292
Thanks I hop u find it useful Because of sm limitations i am not able to make it look better but still if u want it in word 2010 then i will give u
