Question 731965: I have tried to work out the average speed of four vehicles.
one travels at 50mph another at 46mph another at20mph and another at 5mph.
the average speed I get is 24.9mph and 30.25mph, but that doesnt seem right to me.
If you are able to show the workings as opposed to just saying I am right/wrong I would appreciate it

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Average speed of four vehicles ---- you should get ONE value. You found two values. One of them is correct and the other is wrong.

What to do properly: Sum the four speeds. Divide this sum by 4. I suggest, if you are still not sure of the result, SHOW YOUR WORK in this posting or in another posting.

Those should not be complicated.
