Question 670393: what is 2/3k-1=3/2k-6? can you please show the steps on how to answer this? thank you
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2/3k-1=3/2k-6
-------
Subtract (2/3)k from both sides.
Add 6 to both sides.
=================
(3/2)k - (2/3)k = -1+6
---------
Combine the "k" terms.
=================
[9-4)/6]k = 5
---------
(5/6)k = 5
---------
Divide both sides by 5:
(1/6)k = 1
Multiply both sides by 6
k = 6
