 1 liter = 1000 ml. = 1000 cubic cm (cc)
600 ml. = 600 cc.
1 L + 600 ml = 1600 ml. = 1600 cc.
The volume of the square-based container is:
V = 10X10Xh cc.
V = 100Xh cc. 
The volume of the milk from the two containers is:
V = 1600 cc. so...
100h = 1600
h = 16 cm.
The milk level = 16 cm.
