on six test of 100 points each, Groucho has an average of exactly 95. What is the lowest score he could have made on any of the six test?
That would be the case when he made so low on one of the tests 
that it took 100's on all 5 of the other tests to pull his 
average up to 95.

So let his score on that low test be x, then

Average =  = 95

                       = 95
                       
Multiply both sides by 6

                    x + 500 = 570

                          x = 70
