SOLUTION: 2^-1+9^1/2/9
1/2 +2/9
1/2+3/9= 1/2+3=1/2+6/2
32^-2/5+6^0
2^-2+1
(2)^-2+1= 1/2^2+1=1/4+1=2/4
I seem to be running into some problems with these two questions. Can someone

Answer by mathstutor458(57) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1)2^-1+9^1/2/9
1/2 +9/2/9
1/2+81/2=
(1+81)/2=82/2=41
formula :- a/b/c=ac/b
note:-
In the second step you did wrong, correct that now
According to your caluculation,In the third step you wrote3/9 instead of 2/9 and after that caluculaton part is correct. But the correct answer for your problem is 41.
2)32^-2/5+6^0
=1/32^2/5 + 1
=5/32^2+1
=5/1024 + 1
=0.004+1 = 1.004
note:-
32=2^5
you can not cancell out the power value with the denominator value.
and 1/4+1=5/4 not 2/4
you have to see each and every symbol and values carefully otherwise you wont get correct answers.hope you will not repeat the mistakes again. All the Best.
