x = 430 = total points earned on the five quizzes
.
t = score on the next test
.
(430+t) / 6 = 88
.
multiply through by 6
.
430+t = 528
.
t = 528-430
.
t = 98
.
Answer: He needs to score at least 98 on the sixth quiz to raise his average to at least 88.
