Question 513046: Thank you for your help!
Here's the problem:
Student grades were based on weighted averages. The final test was weighted at 4 times the weight of a weekly test. If Marion had an average of 92.4 on the ten regular weekly tests and scored 84 on the final, what was her weighted average?
I don't know how to find this answer. Do i need to figure out what is the weight of a weekly test??? I'm stumped. Thank you.

the weighting means that taking the final is like taking 4 weekly tests
___ the average is based on 14 test scores, of which 4 are the final test

a = [(92.4 * 10) + (84 * 4)] / (10 + 4)
