Question 396417: When light enters water, colors with shorter wavelengths bend more than colors with longer wavelengths. Violet light has a frequency of 7.5 x 10^14 cycles per second, and red light has a frequency of 4.6 x 10^14 cycles per second. Which of these colors of light will bend more when it enters water? Justify the answer.

Note that frequency and wavelength are inversely proportional. Since violet light has the higher frequency, then inverting, violet light would have the lower wavelength, so red light would refract more.
