We find the intercepts by setting the other variable equal to zero...
To find the x-intercepts, we set y equal to zero...
Ax + By = C
Ax + 0 = C
x = C/A
To find the y-intercepts, we set x equal to zero...
0 + By = C
y = C/B

Ax + By = C
for y intercept plug x = 0
By =C
/B
y = C/B
...
For x intercept plug y=0
Ax=C
/A
x= C/A
