Question 26793: Find the mean and the median.
-5,-2,3,7,12,15
Please help. These negative numbers have completely lost me.
Thank you so much.

Answer by elima(1433)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
For the mean you need to add all the numbers together;
-5+(-2)+3+7+12+15=
-5+(-2)=-7+3=-4+7=3+12=15+15=30
Now divide them by the number of values;6
=5
Median = middle
When you have an even number of values, you add the middle 2 and divide the answer by 2;
3+7=10/2=5
Mean = 5
median =5
