Question 21906: what is meant by an average?
Answer by queenofit(120) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
in general an adverage is, for example, how your instructor gets your grade for the year. say you have 6 six weeks at your school and you want to get your adverage for the year. Take all 6 grades, add them together then divide by 6 and you get your adverage. the same works with any numbers. take all the numbers you want to adverage, add them together and then divide the answer by how many numbers you had to begin with
example
90 92 98 94 96 90 add these together = 560
divide this by the number of numbers you used
( in this example we had 6 numbers)
560/6=93.33333333=93
