Question 217252: (x-2)/(x-4)=2/(x-4)
Answer by chibisan(131) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
are you finding the solution of x?
if it is , by using cross multiply you will get ,
(x-2)(x-4) = 2(x-4)
x^2 - 4x - 2x +8 = 2x - 8
x^2 -6x + 8 + 8 - 2x = 0
x^2 - 8x + 16 = 0
(x - 4)(x - 4)= 0
x= 4 (repeated roots)
