A northern city had the following temperatures one winter week. Find the average temperature for the week: -7, -15, +2, +9, -1, +17, +23.
Please help me with the answer and explain how the answer was computed.

Add the numbers and then divide by the number of samples.
There are 7 samples.
Average=Sum/N=(-7-15+2+9-1+17+23)/7=28/7=4
