What you have is a right triangle with two sides=18 & 24 meters. The third side is the hypotenuse.
a^2+b^2=c^2
18^2+24^2=c^2
324+576=c^2
900=c^2
c=sqrt900
c=30 which is the third side of the triangle.
30*$12=&360 is the price for the walk.
