|2X-3|=5
Answer by rahman(247) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
|2X-3|=5
(i) |2x-3| = 2x - 3; where or
(ii) |2x-3| = -(2x - 3); where or
case (i):
|2X-3|=5 ==========> 2x - 3; where or
2x-3=5
2x=5+3
2x=8
x=4
Solution for this case is x = 4
case (ii):
|2X-3|=5 ==========> -(2x - 3); where or
-(2x - 3)=5
-2x+3=5
-2x=5-3
-2x=2
x=-1
Solution for this case is x = -1
So, we get the solution for this equation are x = -1 or x = 4.
