Let the number of citrine gems be "x".
number of rubies is "2x"
number of topaz is "5x"
----------------------------
EQUATION:
x + 2x + 5x = 48
8x = 48
x = 6
# of citrine = 6
# of rubies = 12
# of topaz = 30
