Question 1112273: So I took 3 tests which I needed a 78% average on. The first 2 were worth 75 each and the final was worth 150 so 300 points total.
First test: 72%
Second test: 76%
Final: I don’t know yet (each question was worth 1.5 points and there were 100 questions)
The teacher said I got an 81% but she also said I got 121 right, but that doesn’t add up? She usually gives points back. How many points will she need to give back for me to get an 86%
Thanks so much!!!
Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
75*0.72=54 points
75*0.76=57 points
121/150 is 80.67%, rounds to 81%, assuming the 81% is on the final.
If each question is 1.5 points, then 80 questions were answered correctly and partial credit would have been given for the other.
To get an 86% for the final would require 150*0.86=129 points, or 8 more.
To get an 86% for the course would require 258 total points, of which you have 111 from the first two and would need 147 on the final, or 98%.
