the mean is all numbers added together and divided by the amount of numbers you added.
adding all numbers together is 30
now divide that by 6
and the answer is 5
so the mean is 5
now the median is the middle number
in this case the middle numbers are 3 and 9
add both together and divide by two
3+9=12
12/2=6
so the median is 6
