mean=total/n
for a mean of 72 on 5 tests, 72=x/5
x=360, the total number of points.
In four tests, he had 72+59+93+73=297 points
He needs a 63 on his last to get to 360.
Check
first is no different from 72
second is 13 below
third is 21 above
fourth is 1 above
that is 22 above, 13 below, so he can be 9 below and still get a 72. Nine below 72 is 63.
