Suppose all the replacing of the coins has been done and we have 50 coins left to right numbered 1 through 50, some of each denomination of coin. The coins numbered with multiples of 5 are half dollars. The coins numbered with multiples of 4 which are not multiples of 5 are quarters. The coins numbered with multiples of 3 which are not multiples of 5 or 4 are dimes. The coins numbered with multiples of 2 which are not multiples of 5, 4 or 3 are nickels. The rest are pennies.
