We'll assume that each quiz is weighted the same. Thus far, the student's average is 72 on 7 quizzes for a point total of 504 out of a possible 700 points. The student wants to achieve 75% out of a possible 800 points. 0.75 * 800 = 600 points needed. He already has 504. He will need to score 600-504 on the next exam; a score of 96. He had better start hitting the books!
