Hi there,
Make first score = x
Second score = x + 16
Average = 2 scores added and divided by 2
x + (x + 16)/2 = 80
Multiply out
x + x + 16/2 = 80
2x + 16/2 = 80
cross multiply
2x + 16 = 160
2x = 160 - 16
2x = 144
x = 72
First test = 72
Second test = 88
