Question 1046723: The length of a rectangular mirror is three times its width, and its perimeter is 120 cm. Find the length and the width of the mirror.
Answer by addingup(3677) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
L = 3W
and
2L+2W = 120 Substitute for L:
2(3W)+2W = 120
6W+2W = 120
8W = 120
W = 15 this is the width. And length:
3(15) = 45 is the length
----------------------------
Check:
2(45)+2(15)
= 90+30 = 120 Correct.
