Question 1012995: (mx+4)(2x-5) is simplified to 6x^2+23x-20
What is the value of m?
I forget how to do this. Found 2 solutions by Boreal, MathTherapy:Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website! Foil out the first
2x^2m-5mx+8x-20=6x^2+23x-20
2x^2m-5mx=6x^2+15x
divide by x
2xm-5m=6x-15
m(2x-5)=6x-15
m=3
