Question 183256: The measure of the angle's supplement is 40 degrees more than 3 times that of its complement. Find the measure of the angle described.
I know the answer is 65 but not sure how to find the answer. This is what I came up with but it doesn't work out correctly.
x=3(180-x)+40
I'd sure appreciate your help. I'm in my 40's and going to college for the first time. Math isn't coming easy but I'm really trying my best. Thanks
