Question 140310: I have a worksheet that states if angle 1 and angle2 are complementary angles and m alngle 1=5x-9 and m angle 2=4x, find the measure of the two angles.
I'm not sure if it is right, but i went: (5x-9)+(4x)=90
5x+4x-9=90
9x-9=180
+9 +9
9x=99
9x/9 =99/9
x= 11
the next one i had a question on said: in the figure AB and CD are parallel lines cut by transversal EF. If m angle AEF =47, find m angle DFE.
I did: m anlge AEF = m angle DFE = 180
47 + m angle DFE =180
-47 -47
m angle DFE = 133
