Question 16864: In triangle ABC, angle A is 5 times angle B and angle C is 16 degrees less than angle B. What are the measures of these three angles?
1x + 5x -16x = 180
6x - 16x = 10x divided by 10 = 180 divided by 10
x = 18
B = x = 18
A = 5x = 5 . 18 = 90
C = -16x = -16 x18 = -288?

Question 31879: Angle L and Angle M are complementary angles. Angle N and Angle P ae complementary angles. If angle L = y-2, angle M - 2x + 3, angle N = 2x-y, and angle P = x-1, what is the values of x, y, angle L,angle M,angle N and angle P?
I have worked on this for three days, called my grandfather and he too can not figure it out. I know that they suppose to equal 90 degrees I just cant figure out how to get there.
