Question 484146: My problem is: find the measure of angel 1, 2 & 3; Given the measure of angle 1 is 2x+40; the measure of angle 2 is 2y + 40 and the measure of angle 3 is x + 2y; This is not a triangle. This is two lines that cross. (When I made up the diagram below it lined up but on the "Preview" it is distorted. Hopefully what you see looks like a cross or plus sign.) The diagram is below. A simple cross or 'Plus Sign'. With Angle 1 in the upper left quad. Angle 2 in the upper right quad, Angle 3 in the lower right quad and the 4th angle would be in the lower left quad. Below is about the best that I can produce. Hopefully that helps. Once again thanks!!! 1 (1) 1 (2) 2x+40 1 2y+40 --------------- +-------------- 1 1 (3)x+2y 1 1 Click here to see answer by chessace(471)
