Answer by macston(5194)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(1/2 x+4) + (3/4 x-6)=2 x-47
(2/4)x+(3/4)x+4-6=2x-47
(5/4)x-2=2x-47
45=(3/4)x
60=x
.
CHECK:
.
(1/2 x+4) + (3/4 x-6)=2 x-47
(1/2(60)+4)+(3/4(60)-6)=2(60)-47
(30+4)+(45-6)=120-47
34+39=73
73=73
