A = x degrees

complement of A = 90 - x

supplement of A = 180 - x

B = 2x + 8 degrees

complement of angle B = 90 - (2x+8) = 90 - 2x - 8 = 82 - 2x

supplement of angle B = 180 - (2x+8) = 180 - 2x - 8 = 172 - 2x
