Question 97869: What are the measures of two complementary angles if the difference of the measures of the angles is 12
Answer by coyote(32) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Complementary angles are 2 angles that equal 90 degrees, so
x+x-12=90
2x-12=90
2x=102
x=51
So angle 1 is 51 degrees and angle 2 is 39 degrees(51-12)
-----
To check
51+39=90
90=90
