Extend the two lines to cross both parallel lines. The alternate angle on the upper line will also be 110 degrees The supplements of the given angles will give to angles of a triangle, one 70 degrees and one fifty degrees, this will give the third angle (above and below the intersection of the two lines) a measure of 60 degrees (sum of angles of triangle=180 degrees. Since z and the 60 degree angle lie on the same line, z+60=180, z=120 degrees.
ANSWER: z=120 degrees
