S=smaller angle; L=larger angle=2S+24 degrees
S+L=90 degrees Substitute for L
S+2S+24 degrees=90 degrees Subtract 24 degrees from each side.
3S=66 degrees Divide each side by 3
S=22 degrees ANSWER 1: The smaller angle is 22 degrees.
L=2S+24 degrees=2(22 degrees)+24 degrees=44 degrees+24 degrees=68 degrees
ANSWER 2: The larger angle is 68 degrees.
