Question 944997: Consider a pair of supplementary angles (angle 1 and angle 2). The measure of angle 1 is 14 degrees less than twice the measure of angle 2. Find the measures of angle 1 and angle 2.

Angle 1=A; Angle 2=B
A+B=180
A=2B-14 Substitute this in first equation
2B-14+B=180 Add 14 to each side.
3B=194 Divide each side by 3
B=64.667 ANSWER 1: Angle 2 is 64.667 degrees
A=2B-14
A=2(64.667)-14
A=115.333 ANSWER 2:Angle 1 is 115.333 degrees
