This question is off my homework for my Calculus class. This is my last problem and I might just be reading it wrong in my head or something. If you can please help I would appreciate it.
"If the supplement of an angle is increased by the complement of the angle the result is 166 degrees. Find the measure of the complement of the angle."
The answers were given to us, we just have to figure out how to get it. The answe is "38"

Let complement of the angle be C
Then angle = 90 – C, and its supplement is: 180 – (90 – C), or 180 – 90 + C, or 90 + C
Therefore, 90 + C + C = 166
2C = 166 – 90
2C = 76
