The measures of two supplementary angles have a ratio of 5:4. What is the measure of the larger angle?
-----
5:4 is the same as 5x:4x where 5x is the larger angle.
-----
Equation:
5x + 4x = 180 degrees
9x = 180
x = 20
------
larger:: 5x = 100 degrees.
