If two adjacent angles from a straight line, and the ratio of the larger angle to the smaller angle is 7 to 3, what is the measure in degrees of the smaller angle?
-----
sum of the angles = 180
The larger:smaller = 7x:3x
----
Equation:
7x + 3x = 180
10x = 180
x = 18
-----
larger = 7x = 7*18 = 126 degrees
smaller = 3x = 3*18 = 54 degrees
