Hi,
Two angles are complementary.
Note: Sum of complementary Angles = 90
If one angle is five less then three times the other , first is (3x-5)
what is the measure of each angle?
(3x-5°) + x = 90°
4x = 95°
x = 95°/4
x = 23.75°, the smaller, the larger is 66.25°

Two angles are complementary. If one angle is five less then three times the other, what is the measure of each angle?
--------
1st angle: x
2nd angle: 90-x
--------
Equation:
90-x = 3x-5
4x = 95
x = 95/4 = 23.75 degrees
90-x = 66.25 degrees
